We are not saying the first week wont be challenge, our past members have uncovered lots of behavioural eating habits in those first 10 days. What you need to know
Why we don't count caloriesAlmost every packaged food today features calorie counts in its label. However, most of these counts are inaccurate due to being based on a system of averages that ignores the complexity of digestion and the individuals BMI and BMR.
An advantage of counting macro nutrients is that it ensures your essential nutrients are incorporated into your diet. This is the direct opposite of calorie counting which takes no account of nutrients. Nutrients are the fuel for the body.
The magic recipeOur magical recipe ratio is 15% protein 25% carbs and 60% fats. There is no question that a lower-carb diet makes it easier to lose weight, however a severely strict low-carb diet can backfire and result in a long term relationship with low-carb eating. Bouncing back and forth between trying to avoid all carbs and wind-up eating all the carbs four days later! This can leave you disempowered with food and your diet as the cravings take over.
Carbs or no carbs?It’s not that all carbs are bad but the high processed starchy ones are and that’s why our plans are abundant in vegetables, fruits( the lower sugar kind) and nuts but no processed foods. I am proud to say I understand all the ingredients on the plans there are no E numbers or hidden nasties!
The healthy way of fatsMore than 60% of your brain is fat, so it needs a steady supply of fat to keep the engine highly functional. Fat is a satiating macronutrient, which means it helps you feel fuller for longer. On the LYS plans you’ll spend less time snacking and more time taking over the world! The magic is to primarily get your fats from quality sources like nutrient-dense whole foods and we have done the hard work for you!
